Ayers: Radical Loon When Obama Was Only 47

Printer Friendly

By: Ann Coulter

The media are acting as if they completely and fully vetted Obama during the Democratic primaries and that's why they are entitled to send teams of researchers into Alaska to analyze Sarah Palin's every expense report.

In fact, the mainstream media did no vetting. They seem to have all agreed, "OK, none of us will get into this business with Jeremiah Wright, 'Tony' Rezko, Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers and everyone's impression of an angry Michelle Obama on 'The Jerry Springer Show.'"

During one of the Democratic primary debates, Hillary Clinton was hissed for mentioning Syrian national Rezko, and during another, ABC moderator George Stephanopoulos nearly lost his career for asking Obama one question about William Ayers.

In the past week, TV anchors have taken to claiming that Obama "refuted" John McCain's statement that Obama launched his political career at the home of former Weather Underground leader Ayers.

No, Obama "denied" it; he didn't "refute" it. If "denying" something is the same as "refuting" it, then maybe the establishment media can quit harping on Palin's qualifications to be president, since she too "refuted" that by denying it.

Back before the media realized it needed to lie about Obama launching his political career at Ayers' house, the Los Angeles Times provided an eyewitness account from a liberal who attended the event.

"When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard, innocuous little talk in the living room of those two legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. They were launching him -- introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best thing since sliced bread."

The Times has now stripped this item from its Web page, but the great blogger Patterico has preserved it for posterity on his Web page.

Obama's glib remark that "Bill Ayers is a professor of education in Chicago; 40 years ago when I was 8 years old he engaged in despicable acts with a domestic group. I have roundly denounced those attacks" -- doesn't answer anything.

First of all, the fact that Ayers is a professor of education proves only one thing: He is dumber than any person without an education degree.

Ayers is such an imbecile, we ought to be amazed that he's teaching at a university -- even when you consider that it's an ed school -- except all former violent radicals end up teaching. Roughly 80 percent of former Weathermen are full college professors -- 99 percent if you don't include the ones killed in shoot-outs with the police or in prison -- i.e., not yet pardoned by a Democratic president.

Any other profession would have banned a person like Ayers. Universities not only accept former domestic terrorists, but also move them to the front of the line. In addition to Ayers, among those once on the FBI's most-wanted list who ended up in cushy college teaching positions are Bernardine Dohrn (Northwestern University), Mark Rudd (a junior college in New Mexico) and Angela Davis (History of Consciousness Department, University of California at Santa Cruz).

While others were hard at work on Ph.D.s, Susan Rosenberg was conspiring to kill cops and blow up buildings, and was assembling massive caches of explosives. This put her on the fast track for a teaching position at Hamilton College!

Despite having absolutely no qualifications to teach, having earned only a master's degree in "writing" through a correspondence course, Rosenberg was offered a position at Hamilton within a few years of President Clinton pardoning her in 2001, releasing her from a 58-year prison sentence for participating in the murder of cops and possessing more than 700 pounds of explosives.

But Obama thinks it's a selling point to say that Ayers is a college professor.

Hundreds of college professors have signed a letter vouching for Ayers, which would be like Lester Maddox producing a letter from George Wallace assuring us that Maddox is a respected member of the community. No, really, I've got the letter right here!

The media keep citing the fact that the money Obama and Ayers distributed to idiotic left-wing causes came -- as The New York Times put it -- "from Walter H. Annenberg, the billionaire publisher and philanthropist and President Richard M. Nixon's ambassador to the United Kingdom."

Great Republican though he was, Walter Annenberg died in 2002. The money came from the Annenberg Foundation, which, like all foundations, distributes money to projects that its founder would despise. John Kerry ran for president on the late John Heinz's money. That didn't mean Republican Heinz was endorsing Kerry.

As John O'Sullivan says, any foundation that is not explicitly right-wing will become a radical left-wing organization within a few years. It could be the Association of University Women, the American Association of Retired People, the American Rose Growers, the Foundation for the Study of Railroad Engineers or the Choral Society of Newport Beach.

Left-wing radicals swarm to free foundation money, where they can give gigantic grants to one another and they will never have to do a day's work. That's exactly what Obama and Ayers did with Annenberg's money.

None of the Annenberg money went to schoolchildren. It went to Ayers' left-wing crank friends to write moronic papers that we hope no one ever reads.

Instead of teaching students reading and writing, Ayers thinks they should be taught to rebel against America's "imperialist" social structure. In 2006, Ayers was in Venezuela praising communist dictator Hugo Chavez, saying, "We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution."

He has backed a line of schoolbooks such as one titled "Teaching Science for Social Justice."

Forget about Ayers' domestic terrorism when Obama "was 8 years old." Does he agree with Ayers' idiot ideas right now?

Get a clue, dear.
While Republicans are blathering on about William Ayres, the rest of the country is suffering from the unbridled corruption and complete mismanagement of our country by the GOP.
Decent Americans (the vast majority of our country) have turned their backs on the immoral policies of Republicanism.
Reaganomics and the party that spawned it are dead.
And not a moment too soon.
ps- please don't bother with the 'I'm a Conservative, not a Republican' dissemination. No one buys it. A Conservative is simply a Republican without the courage to admit it when the chips are down.

Oh come on now Anne, We should let the past be the past. Hell, Osama will be invited to the White House for dinner within the next 4 years so why should we expect anyone to be concerned with Aires. After all he only declared war on the US, bombed the pentagon, and police stations. Murdered innocent people for MONEY, not for ideology, and Bombed a house with young children inside. That is a prime example of what makes a fine upstanding member of society not to mention Liberal College Professor.
The sad part is the libs complain all the time about how bad the education system is yet these are the types of people they go out of their way to hire. It used to mean something to have a degree from Harvard, now it just means you passed the indoctrination courses. Yet the Liberal Elite keep sending their kids there paying 60, 70 thousand a year, for less of an actual education than one can get at a local community college.
Some idiot here wrote in the paper how Great Obama is because he went to Harvard. To me any degree from any of those colleges are not worth the paper they are printed on. But then again I am not a brain dead liberal

believe it or not, Lester Maddox was & is a very well respected ex Governor in Georgia. Everyone missed the point in the ax handle incedent. At the time (way back) businesses had the right to refuse service to whom the chose. You may not be old enough to remember, but in those days the blacks & whites did not eat together. It wasn't right, but that's just the way it was. He was defending his right as a business owner. After laws were changed he gladly opened his business to everyone. He employed more black people than most businesses during segration & treated them fair & with respect. One of the nicest & kindest men i have ever met. So, maybe you should practice what you preach. Get the facts.

And Obama was not even born before Karl Marx died! This does not prevent him from exuding his 'labour theory of value'

Wrong kevind. The Dem congress has been running the country, approving Bush's overspending. That's U.S. govt-101. Being a fiscal and social conservative USED to have something to do with being a Republican. It doesn't necessarily any more which is why MOST of us didn't necessarily want McCain...but he is CERTAINLY more inline with those views that Obama.

kevind
Who passed the Community Reinvestment Act, which forced banks to make loans to people who could not afford it. The only unbridled corruption that is taking place is being perpetrated by the like of Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Lacy Clay, Franklin Raines, and Charlie Rangel. I see you're another liberal who thinks Reaganomics doesn't work, perhaps you would like to compare and contrast the Carter years vs. the Reagan years. Please show your work.

RE: Spreading the wealth

First it is not "the" wealth, it is the property of individuals. Private property, personal property which is
supposed to be protected under our system of government.
I suggest you study up on Mexico's redistribution of land/wealth after many of their revolutions. It has not helped their pitiful economy or general lack of development. It has put power into unworthy hands and a terrible burden on the poor. The only thing wrong with transferring money to the poor (socialism) is that it does not work. Look at all of the Russian central planning and socialism and how it crashed their country. When everything belongs to all, no one is responsible for it. The earliest settlers in America started out with community gardens and quickly saw they would starve due to a lack of diligent labor. They quickly split up the gardens into family plots and people then began to work "as if their life depended no it" -(emphasis mine)- which it did.
Groups of people are NOT altruistically motivated to support strangers. Public land is no ones land. If you take money from the workers and make them give it to the poor - they resent it and quickly stop trying to excel.
Encouraging charity by tax discounts will allow motivated people with means to give to the poor and feel good about it. Did you ever check the stats re: charitable giving by conservatives vs liberals? Liberals, if and when they give anything, give to the arts or foundations that acquire power for liberals. They only give to Get. Conservatives give a vastly larger amount of money to disaster aid, soup kitchens, churches, clothing, orphans, and on and on. The religious and the conservatives that's who.
I give 13 times more to charity than Biden with only 2 % of Biden's income. Who is helping the poor?? I do not say this to glorify myself - there are many who give more. I only say it as a fact to point out the different mind sets of liberals and conservatives. Please check all the facts before you opine on policies. Obama is trying to buy votes with his utopian claims. We have heard this rhetoric before - Ingles, Marx, Lennin, etc. Just does not work. Never has, never will.

Who is telling the truth?

Whenever there are problems and disagreements in governance I have noticed that following the money is an important tool in getting to the root of the problem. What I find
amazing is the lack of investigations into the reckless policies in place at the two main federally backed lenders - Fannie May and Freddy Mac. If the reader cares to check they will find that the criminally poor lending guidelines were a product of democrat socialist engineering . The intention of these dimwits was to make bad loans. What, you say? Bad loans on purpose. Yes, allowing people with no jobs to borrow 120% of the appraised value of the security for the loan is, on its face, foolish and likely criminal. These organizations were clearly out of control and McCain and others (2005) proposed legislation to provide oversight and were shot down by the ruling democrats - who were by the way- receiving large contributions from these corrupt lenders. This has been much more damaging to the people of America than 10 Enrons. Why then are there no investigations into the more 100 million dollars looted from Fannie May and Freddy Mac by the managers who cooked the books to get huge bonuses at tax payer expense? I, having followed the money, venture to say that large sums paid to democratic Banking Committee members and the fact that the two biggest crooks are now the top economic advisors to Obama have effectively prevented any Main Stream Media from being the least bit curious as to the reasons for this mess. By the way, in only 3 years in the Senate Obama rose to second place on the all time slush fund, behind only Chris Dodd, a 30 year money target. These are the best paid non-public servants in history. Now these cheeky rascals are trying to blame McCain and Palin for this mess. "Only in socialist America." This is a public disgrace and the vast majority of loyal democrats do not have a clue about how rotten this party is becoming. The leaders are not democrats, they are socialistic, self- interested and selfish. These "leaders" aren't like any democrats I know. I only wonder how much longer can real democrats stand to be associated with this disreputable invasion force?

I'm not sure where kevind lives but in my neck of the woods (socialist Milwaukee) there are actually more McCain campaign signs than Obama. Maybe the citizens of a Socialist and corrupt Milwaukee government are finally waking up and realizing that paying all their money to Uncle Sam doesn't get them a bag of beans. Well, that and the corruption within Democrat campaigns involving dead and felon voters, bribing the homeless with cigarettes for their votes, slashing the tires on vans used to transport voters by Republican campaigners and voter registration campaigns where paid workers make up voter registrations using nonexistent addresses. That is more than enough to make a law-abiding, hard working taxpayer infinitely embarrassed to be called a Democrat or liberal.

On top of that, our Wisconsin Democrat state legislators and governor refuse to require voters to show a picture ID ... you know those cards you have to show to cash a check - even a welfare check? They say it disenfranchises the poor. I say that is a smoke screen for it disenfranchises Democrat fraudulent voters!

Don't even get me started on the mortgage debacle! Let's just say that Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton ruined the lives of a vast number of low-income and moderate-income people with their inane social engineering attempts.

I won't even get into "pimping the poor" programs where liberals milk grant money (public & private funds) in the name of helping the poor. Unfortunately, the poor see very little of that money and don't have anything to show for it. Just ask Barrack Obama and Bill Ayers about their Woods Fund of Chicago, I'm sure they can tell you all about it.

If it weren't for the fraudulent voting practices of the Democratic Party, the democrats would have failed by greater numbers in recent elections. Just ask Barrack Obama's buddies over at ACORN, they can tell you all about that too.

Unlike the term "liberal," coservative will never be a dirty word.

Sweet mother of Mercy!

I take a year or so off from this page and surprise, surprise, kevind is STILL wrong!

I wonder how many times he voted already for NObama, M'bama and JoeBama?

I am glad some things never change, and one of those things being kevind's instance in avoiding the truth!

See ya in the gulags!

Poof!

God Bless and God Speed

..and it was pretty funny seeing the terrorist William Ayres being hounded by a reporter on TV this morning.

I am not sure which was more telling, the avowed Marxist telling the reporter to get off of his "property." (In a true Marxist state, all the property would be the States, ergo, no private property. - And, yes, there are further distinctions but we will leave it at that for now.)

Or, perhaps, his calling the police to complain.

I wonder if the police called him when HE blew up the bomb at NYPD headquarters.

What a weasel, a gonadless, NObama supporting, cowardly, crammed to the eyeballs with bovine scatlologal matter, weasel

Typical of the Liberals.

Candy-assed cowards all!

God Bless and God Speed
