Hillary: Stand By Some Other Man
Printer FriendlyBy: Ann Coulter
The mainstream media said she was finished, but our brave Hillary soldiered on to wallop B. Hussein Obama in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island Tuesday night. I don't know what the MSM is so upset about-- we let them pick the Republican nominee. Did they want to pick the Democratic nominee, too?
Not only that, but after some toothsome appearances on various madcap comedy shows this past week -- "Saturday Night Live," "Late Night With David Letterman," "Hardball With Chris Matthews" -- Hillary's "likability" quotient is soaring! According to the latest CNN/CBS News poll, she's just been upgraded from "Utterly Loathsome" to "Execrable."
The percentage of registered voters who would rather disembowel themselves with a wooden spoon than vote for Hillary has just slipped below the magical 50 percent mark. We're surging, Hillary! If you want to be even more likable, you should go on "The View." Next to those four harpies, you seem almost agreeable.
Now that Hillary has won three primaries in a row, it's time for Obama to do the classy thing and withdraw from the race. (Obama won Vermont, but that was earlier in the day. Exit polls indicate he took the black vote. Literally. There was just the one.)
Imagine how proud Michelle Obama would be of her country if that happened! But Obama probably won't do the classy thing, despite claiming to be a "new" kind of politician and rejecting the politics of division.
If Hillary is serious about becoming president, she's got to make some changes. I say this as a Hillary supporter and strong opponent of divorce. Hillary: You've got to divorce Bill. You've already fired one campaign manager. Now it's time to get rid of your No. 1 buzz-killer.
Not only is the media's group-lie about Bill Clinton being a "rock star" over, but -- one can hope -- the use of the excruciatingly stupid phrase "rock star" to refer to wonky politicians is over. It's become such a cliche that music critics have begun referring to actual rock stars as "leading Democratic contenders."
Liberals believe, often accurately, that if they say the same thing over and over again 1 billion times, people will believe it: "Bush lied, kids died," "We've lost in Iraq," "Reagan is stupid," "Bush is stupid," "Republicans are stupid," "Global warming is destroying the planet," "Gloria Steinem is good-looking" and -- their most provably false assertion -- "Bill Clinton is the most talented politician of his generation."
In a period of just a few short months last year, "news" articles in The New York Times cooed -- I mean "said" -- the following about Bill Clinton:
-- "Elvis is here, Clinton version. Having Bill Clinton campaign for you, as Mr. Ford learns, is a mixed blessing. You are bolstered standing next to this outsized Democrat, but still seem puny by comparison."
-- "Mr. Clinton is one Oscar-worthy supporting actor who can sometimes upstage his leading lady simply by breathing."
-- "Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has been trying to capture Bill Clinton's old political magic and lay claim to his legacy and popularity."
-- Tony Blair's charisma "ranks second only to Bill Clinton's."
Not to be a stickler, but Bill Clinton is the guy who could never get as much as 50 percent of the country to vote for him. And that was in two presidential elections that the Republicans basically sat out (as they are doing this year).
It was also in elections held before the country realized "Elvis" Clinton was molesting the help. If Bill Clinton is the Democrats' idea of Elvis, somebody should tell them he's playing to half-empty houses.
Besides the joy liberals take in lying generally, they have massive Reagan envy. Despite having informed us the requisite 1 billion times that Reagan was a dunce, Americans adored him, and still do.
Democrats wanted one of their presidents to be adored, too -- and not just for being assassinated. But they only seemed able to produce laughable incompetents like Jimmy Carter.
So no matter how preposterous it was, liberals just kept telling us that the chubby kid with the big red nose whose greatest moment on the football field involved a wind instrument was "Elvis." According to Nexis, that appellation has been applied to Clinton approximately 1,000 times. In print, that is. There's no telling how many drunken cocktail waitresses have whispered it in Clinton's ear during late-night elevator assignations.
You can stop lying for the voters now, Hillary. This is me, Ann Coulter, your supporter.
This charade of a marriage has gone on long enough. Even if you were stupid enough to marry him back in the '70s, Bill is just so over, girlfriend. He can't even get Holiday Inn cocktail waitresses anymore. Last I heard, he was hitting on the Motel 6 housekeeping staff.
You're too good for him, Hillary. Obama has now denounced and rejected Louis Farrakhan. It's time for you to denounce and reject Bill Clinton.
Obama excites voters by offering to be the first black president. You've got a chance to make history by becoming the first divorcee to win the White House.

You got a laugh out of me, Ann.
You also make an interesting point about repetition. In her graphics design textbook, "The Non-Designer's Design Book," (Peachpit Press, Berkeley, CA 1994) Robin Williams (not THAT Robin Williams--this one's female) offers a simple formula for effective graphics applications: Proximity, Allignment, Repetition, Contrast (PARC, or CARP, or CRAP, or what have you).
Repetition is also a well-known rhetorical device. Communicators use repetition in text and graphics because it helps to effectively deliver the desired message to the end user.
As well, despite all the hoopla about "rebellion" and "revolution" and "independence," we're a nation of obediently sheepish followers. Quantitative repetition bolsters the "popular" illusion; if "everybody's doing it," then everybody's doing it.
One more element: I think leftists also have malicious reasons for repeating certain messages: if it somehow offends conservative sensibilities, then leftists blast it at viewers and readers in a stultifying, brainwashing maelstrom of repetition until it's stamped onto their weak-minded audience's frontal lobes.
It works: the best examples that immediately come to mind are the legions of white kids who try to look and talk like black kids: ridiculous-looking, stupid-sounding, weak-minded products of a carefully constructed, rigidly enforced and oft-repeated MSM message that boldly and also unnaturally (Darwin is rolling over in his grave) seeks--with some success, however fleeting--to assimilate the majority into the minority.
This is a grotesque rape of communication ethics: a deliberate and spurious misuse of rhetorical and graphics principles that any editor or program director with a shred of character would never allow, and that's why it's so popular among MSM leftists.
The tide is turning, though, as it inevitably does. It's not that more publications and broadcasts are becoming conservative; it's that MSM lefties are discovering that even though they've played god and done all they can to recast reality into one long, pro-leftist cheer (Vladimir and Joe would be so proud!!), most people still have the quivering, timorous gall to believe the truth.
So it goes.
About too much repetition, Williams says, "Avoid repeating the element so much that it becomes annoying or overwhelming. Be conscious of the value of contrast. "For instance, if she were to wear the black evening dress with the red hat, red earrings, red lipstick, a red handbag, red shoes and a red coat, the repetition would not be a stunning and unifying contrast--it would be garish, and the focus would be confused." (p.52) That sounds like the leftist MSM: garish, with a focus confused by over-repetition.

You got no laughs out of me, Ann!
After your precious Mitt Romney (whom you and buddy Debble Schlussel obviously had major crushes on) lost, I was stunned to hear you telling college kids and Republicans they should vote for Hillary rather than vote for John McCain or any other Republican running for office!
Thanks to You, Debbie Schlussel, Pat Robertson and Pat Buchanan, et. al, you have achieved your goal: the Republican Party is totally divided! So what do all of you want or expect to happen, now?
Our Republican Party has been foolish enough--for decades now--to not thoroughly investigate all of it's candidates to assure they were genuine Republicans! It's foolishly allowed itself to be integrated by "wolves in sheeps' clothing" (Socialist Democrats who knew gaining control over both major political parties was the only way to assure a victory for their Socialist political agenda for America)! Sadly, many of you conservative reporters helped them by not having the common sense to recognize what they were doing! You helped them by either totally ignoring or trashing candidates who were genine Republicans! Any conservative Reporter should already know any candidate who doesn't support (or hasn't in the past supported) the historical platform of the Republican Party, is not a genuine Republican! For those of you unaware, the Republican Party supports what God supports in His Word: moral values! We are against the zero population agenda of the Socialist Democrats, including: abortion, homosexuality, cloning, euthanasia; anything that prevents the natural propagation of the human species--as God created us as human beings and His intent for us to live out our lives--through heterosexual marriage.
So now we're stuck with John McCain, a borderline Socialist who has enough common sense to know we must protect America through force, if necessary; or Ron Paul, a Libertarian Socialist Pacifist who believes America should retreat into isolationism and allow our Country to be overtaken by our enemies.
I'm sure Ron Paul and Ralph Nader (the latter needs someone to tell him to buy some new clothes and take a bath occasionally), are getting a lot of financial support from Socialist Democrats intent on using them as "spoilers" (as they used Ross Perrot, years ago for the same purpose), to prevent a Republican from winning the election.
I despise Hillary Clinton (who you amazingly told people to vote for)! Ann, why don't you and Debbie run for President and Vice President, as you're both of the opinion you're the only women qualified for those positions? Why not add some more "spoilers" into the mix?
I definitely don't want any Socialist Democrat (male or female) running our Country again as we had enough of that during the 8 yr. Clinton/Gore regime, and I saw enough Socialism in action during those years I lived in Europe, as their Socialist-run governments control the media and press and what they "feed" their citizens. It's why foreigners have such a low opinion of America and Republicans! When I lived there, I had to explain the real difference between our two major political parties to them, as they aren't being told that. They are only being told they should hate Republicans and hate America.
Thanks a lot for nothing, Ann, Debbie Schlussel, Pat Buchanan, and Pat Robertson! It now appears we're assured of a Socialist Democrat controlling our Nation, again!
I think America has no choice but to return to having people from multiple political parties running for office. This two-party system isn't working anymore!

It's apparent to me that America's two political party system isn't working anymore because they both are now controlled by Socialist Democrats! With so many illegal aliens flooding into our Nation from mostly Third-World Nations that had Socialist and/or Communist governments--them voting illegally in our US elections--it appears native-born Americans and naturalized citizens who legally came in through our "front door", have been left with no choice anymore but return to using a multiple political party system like we originally had when our Nation was founded! Since Republicans have stupidly allowed our own Republican Party to be overtaken by Socialists, we have no choice but to re-establish the former Republican Party we loved and revered (with it's original historical political agenda of Abe Lincoln and Ron Reagan), under another political party, with a different name!
