I would like to wish you all a prosperous, healthy, and fun new year.

As you raise your champagne flutes come 11:59 Saturday night, take a few seconds to reflect on lucky we are to be Americans, and how fortunate we are to have a man like George W. Bush at the helm of our great nation.

As our friend Sean Hannity says - George Bush is the right man at the right time.

2005 has been bumpy to say the least. Natural disasters, the deaths of American heroes fighting for the cause of liberty, and the endless assault of (as the great David Limbaugh has so deflty detailed these past weeks) the Mainstream Media on our leaders has surely taken a toll. It has not been the best of years - but compare 2005 to 2001 - when thousands of our compratriots were murdered by soldiers of the "Religion of Peace" - and you will see that 2005 is by no means an annus horrilibus.

2006 presents a new opportunity. 50 million people will experience freedom for the first time. 50 million! If only each one of them would give me a dollar!

As I am not one for words, I simply say to you: be grateful for what we have. Be grateful that there are men and women in this country who are willing to die to keep us safe - not only willing, but volunteering to do so.

Thank a veteran if see encounter one. Bring the families of servicemen and servicewomen a plate of cookies, a homemade pie, or shovel thier walkways. Tell them how grateful you are for thier sacrifice - the families of soldiers sacrifice along with soldiers. Our greatest national treasure is the American soldier, and the families of American soldiers.

God Bless America, God Bless George Bush, and God Bless the American Soldier.

Happy New Year to all on Red State USA!

My son is due to arrive back in the states from a year long deployment with the Army in Iraq.

He was wounded on Aug. 23. He's doing fine now.

I know you don't know him but I thank you for your support for our troops.
